The reliability of the NCLEX examination is assessed via a decision consistency statistic. This statistic is used instead of a traditional reliability statistic because it captures the reliability of dichotomous pass/fail decisions rather than the reliability of continuous scores or ability estimates.

Summary data for multiple categories of candidates, U.S. and international, is provided for performance on NCSBN's two nurse licensure examinations, the NCLEX-PN and NCLEX-RN.

NCSBN and Pearson VUE worked together to allow for the continued testing of NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN candidates on a limited basis, subject to state and local requirements. NCSBN hosted a 30-minute webinar to answer questions educators have about the modified exam and testing procedures in place.  

The World Health Organization has released the State of the World's Nursing Report. The report is the most important document created in relation to the nursing profession. In this video, NCSBN CEO, David Benton, looks report and offers insight into what it means for nurses and nurse regulators.
