APRN Compact

The APRN Compact, approved May 4, 2015, allows an advanced practice registered nurse to hold one multistate license with a privilege to practice in other compact states.

NCSBN has developed a model for states to enact the Advanced Practice Nurse Compact. Below find model legislation and rules.

Model Legislation for States to Enact the APRN Compact

Model APRN Compact Legislation serves as the basis for what states need to enact to join the APRN Compact. In order to be eligible to join the APRN Compact, states must pass the model legislation without any material differences.
