NCSBN is exploring technology that would allow candidates to take the NCLEX online. This would allow candidates to take the test in locations other than traditional test centers, while still maintaining ultimate exam security and integrity. Although our board had a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) that included a pandemic response element, you’re immediately addressing unknowns that you could not have foreseen. Our COOP team worked long hours as part of our response efforts. Our executive officer, Carol Moreland, created a weekly newsletter for informational outreach that was posted on our COVID Information Center website and on the board’s social media accounts. Our licensing manager did an amazing job organizing her department and they quickly adapted to the changes. Everyone, all agency departments, pitched in to make our response as successful as possible and we are grateful for their efforts.”

Marketing Resources Update Michael Kotnaur, Director, Marketing and Advocacy, presented information regarding the updated LSC marketing resources. LSC Policy 1.0 Review Staff led a review of the LSC’s policy and procedures including the Policy 4.5.4 on social media. Committee Member Terms Staff discussed the two LSC positions that would be open for election and the two positions that would be open for reappointment during FY26 for the LSC. The BOD will appoint a new chair for the LSC after August per the bylaws.
