So one of the areas from a research perspective is moving into evaluating actually impact on practice or impact on outcomes, not impact on, "I feel better about myself." We do a ton of research in the smiley scale area. And we need to move beyond that to actually looking at impact on practice and outcomes. But we do know in those studies that looked at impact on practice and outcomes, they are pretty significant, not only from a patient outcome perspective but also from a cost and efficiency perspective.

So, this sort of turns the presumption over, in favor of the licensee. The court went on to say that, in the informal proceeding, the board developed no competent substantial evidence that showed that that crime that Galvan had pled guilty to directly related to the practice of nursing. The court also pointed out that Galvan consistently and vigorously disputed that her crime related to thep practice of nursing, and basically, what the board should have done was, given at a formal hearing on that question of whether or not the crime directly related to the practice of nursing.

The BONs will receive their raw data via Excel. 10. Annually NCSBN’s Research Department will analyze all the aggregate data from this core nursing education database. It should be noted that the BONs’ additional questions are not included in this aggregate data analysis since those questions are not consistent across BONs. How do BONs participate? 1. To get started: Send NCSBN your BON’s logo and permission to use it. That, along with NCSBN’s logo, will adorn the survey BONs send to their programs. 2. Send NCSBN any additional questions that your BON would like to ask. a.
