We would consider that non-compliance. But the treatment provider, that nurse's treatment provider, when they discuss what's going on with the nurse, would say, "This nurse is in relapse," all right? The second is return to unauthorized use outside of the practice realm. And would we necessarily, or do we necessarily want to treat that in the same way, that the highest level, the third level of relapse is defined right now, and that's return to unauthorized use with a practice component, a practice overlap?

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. Nurses can enroll at no cost in Nursys e-Notify to receive notifications related to license renewals at www.nursys.com . Resources such as FAQs and a brief video about the new rule are available on the NLC website. About the ICNLCA The ICNLCA facilitates cross border nursing practice through the implementation of the nationally recognized, multistate license, the NLC. The ICNLCA enhances nurse mobility and public protection through maintaining uniform licensure standards among party state boards of nursing; promoting cooperation and collaboration between party states, facilitating the exchange of data and information between party states; and educating stakeholders.

The one area that we got to towards the end, maybe the last five years, was what we called promising practices. We could see the high performing boards, we pulled them in for meetings to say, what are you doing that's different than the other states? And we never called them best practices because we didn't know if it was the best practice, but it certainly was a promising practice. - And that is a perfect, I'm so glad you said that, that encapsulates the whole thing. So CORE was the vehicle to know who to talk to. Our goal is to have a single centralized project instrument, whatever you want to call it, that gives you the answer to the second part, too.
