And when you talk about nurse prescribing, that is happening in many, many countries through standardized treatment guidelines and essential medicines list, excuse me. And in many countries, nurses are not adequately prepared at the same level as the models that you gave in the UK and Spain. So I'm wondering how we help when people [[00:38:00]] look to the United States for advanced practice models, how we help countries that don't even have baccalaureate as the entry into nursing. How do we help them achieve the needs in their under-resourced countries where nurses really are the frontline workers and do far more as we talk about scope of practice that Maureen addressed?

Through our membership in the Tri-Council, guidance documents and position papers were developed relevant to the times we find ourselves in. The Tri-Council Summit resulted in a report that set out themes that continue to inform the board's work and that of the strategic initiatives. Those emerging themes, as a result of collaboration of practice, education, and regulation are equity and health equity, ethics, nursing workforce, innovation, interprofessional emergency planning and response, mental health and well-being. The nine participant countries of the INRC among other things have continued to examine issues of mobility of nurses between countries and similarities and differences in nursing regulation and the processes for authorizing practice.

It is the proportion of pass/fail decisions that would remain the same if all candidates were to be retested with parallel examinations. *Passing Standard. The minimum level of competence a candidate must demonstrate to pass the examination. Currently, the passing standard effective April 1998 is -0.35 for the NCLEX-RN® examination. In April 1999, the passing standard was raised from -0.51 to -0.47 logits for the NCLEX-PN® examination. The RN and PN standards are not directly comparable because they are based on different item pools. _____________________________________ *These statistics are in units, called logits, on the Rasch measurement scale.

So here we go. Brad Brooks is a registered nurse with a multistate license. Brad's primary state of residence is the State of Pine. Pine's chief of investigations is Emma Mamaluy. Here are the facts of the case, the State of Pine gets a complaint alleging that RN Brooks has been behaving very, very oddly at work in Pine. Pine opens an investigation and asks Brooks to get a psychological evaluation. The State of Birch, who's executive director is Dr. Stacey Pfenning, also gets a complaint. So we have two different complaints here, about Registered Nurse Brooks while he is working in the State of Birch on his privilege to practice.

And so I have reached out to Nicole before on issues that we were having with our APRNs and now with Nancy's group on this military-to-medic crosswalk, so to speak. So... - Well, I'll offer a brief comment even though I'm actually not actively involved, but it really does disappoint me that in Virginia we still have, as I mentioned earlier, this joint regulation of advanced practice nurses and that we have the Board of Medicine, you know, really the board members themselves really not on board with the idea that nurse practitioners and other advanced practice nurses have the skills to practice independently. And I think that if I could do something, that's the direction I would like to see it go.

To ensure content validity, the NCLEX CAT exam follows the specified percentages of a test plan for content distribution. The computer algorithms monitor the distribution of items by content area and clinical judgment, allowing each candidate to receive the same distribution regardless of the test lengths. If you want to know more about the NCLEX-RN and the PN test plans, please go to NCLEX website and look for the 2023 RN and the PN test plan documents. In a CAT exam, the test difficulty and the test lengths can be customized to your ability. You may wonder how we can assure the content coverage is the same for all NCLEX CAT.
