Failure to take the exam will be documented in the registration as a case report which will be viewable by the nursing regulatory body. Changing an Appointment To change the NCLEX appointment date, time or location, go to the  Pearson website  or call  Pearson Candidate Services  at least one full business day (24-hours) before the scheduled exam date and time as described below: For exams scheduled on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, call Pearson at least 24-hours in advance of the date and time of the appointment local standard time.

The conclusions of this study are limited to a small section of candidates who show interest but do not enter the nursing profession. The findings and the relatively low number of prospective nurses impacted, suggest that there are few, if any, specific recommendations that can be made to Boards of Nursing that will encourage candidates to take the licensure examination and thus reduce the nursing shortage. 3
