However, people also use these terms with distinction, so it can be quite confusing. So a little bit about my agency. As I mentioned, I think that this is important to bring up because, when I was at the Attorney General's office, I oversaw all administrative practice by assistant AGs by the time that I left. And I was not aware of the division of administrative law, even though it existed at the time that I was there. So one of the things I want to do is make sure that I demystify what a centralized hearing panel is.

This survey will request feedback on the registration process, scheduling, check-in, the exam experience, and staff professionalism. During the review appointments, NRB participants will review items from a regulatory perspective to ensure that items reflect entry-level nursing practice, as well as verify that items comply with their specific jurisdiction Nurse Practice Act, NPA, or associated administrative rules. Ultimately, that is the purpose of our NRB reviews of NCSBN Exam Items. Participants may enter comments electronically.

I look forward to welcome you all to the community of practice in due course. The recent nursing and midwifery resolution at World Health Assembly has given us a clear message that we need to invest in nursing and midwifery and our reflections from the past year tell us loud and clear that if we wait until COVID-19 is over to make this investment, it will be too late.

And there was a good debate on either side. So last night at dinner, I had the privilege of having dinner with Anthony, I said, "There's the question." And I said, "What do you think?" He said, "Of course.Of course, yeah.Give them the device because what do we do in practice?Do we have a computer next to us in practice to look things up?" And it was so spontaneous and so obvious to him this is what's going to be... And he mentioned, talking with the deans, this is where things are going to evolve. Medical education going to evolve, licensing is going to evolve, whether we're part of that discussion or not. ©2019 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc.

Long-Term Succession Plan | NCSBN
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) is a not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to provide an organization through which boards of nursing act and counsel together on matters of common interest and concern affecting the public health, safety and welfare, including the development of licensing examinations in nursing. By reviewing the strategic plan and the results of the NRB self-assessment and the staff assessment, you will able to identify those competencies in the list below that are critical to the NRB at this time. Tool #11, Assessment of EO Competencies, is the result of an analysis of the EO job descriptions and is designed to be used in conjunction with review of candidate applications to determine whether candidates meet the qualifications outlined for the role. After the review, top candidates should be interviewed in person by the NRB’s/agency’s assigned committee or personnel.
