Designs are done by professional groups, but patients' view on what constitutes good care, the patient report experience, these are often left out. So we'd like to remind you in including that. One of the very important aspects of making these assessments useful is to contextualize the answers using practice- based scenarios. So all the questions are very much on vignettes and real scenarios that resonate with the workers, and to try to refine the questions around these realistic and practice-based scenarios, often very complex, ethically challenging scenarios.

Nurses weren't always confident that they could identify colleagues with a possible problem, though they did say that they would report it to someone, supervisor or a colleague, I guess. Favorable opinions of a nurse's ability to succeed in treatment and re-enter practice. That was kind of varied. I think it could use some help. And that's something that people reported they might be more willing to engage and to report if they thought there's something that could be done. And we've seen that in other areas, like patient safety and such.

So, can you help me with that? ©2024 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 11 - Yeah. - Does that make sense? - I'm not as concerned about the APRN license, but the RN license has to be in the state where they live. Are you able to mention the two states? - Yeah, sure. So, Texas is the state where they have their APRN license, and of course, they say their state of residence is Florida. They don't live in Florida, they live in Texas, and they practice as an APRN and as a registered nurse. - So, that's one of those misunderstandings, like in the examples I was giving you.

Finally, let's explore the exam stopping rules. The NCLEX CAT exam has three stopping rules that work closely together to determine the pass-fail decision. These rules ensure the exam accurately assess whether candidates are minimally competent to practice. The first stopping rule is the 95% confidence interval rule. ©2025 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. They would put that license away and never give it another thought until they heard colleagues talking about it's time to renew, or employers were kind of hounding them, "Where's your renewed license? We need to see it." And we knew that wasn't a safe practice. And I know all of you know that, but you know, a lot of our customers don't, that particularly being a compact state, the license status can change from multistate to single state or vice versa any time, and a license can expire. So if they move to another compact state and get a multi-state license in another state, then you deactivate their license.

For these concepts, you are expecting DIF items. But again, these concepts are required by nursing practice. Even though they have DIF, they are not biased and we still keep these items. Let's summarize DIF review process. First, DIF panel will read the item and indicate the groups showing DIF, such as female versus male, U.S. versus Canadian, white versus Asian-Indian and so on.

You know, also the practice restrictions we routinely apply, and this is my opinion, but we routinely apply to nurses, no floating, no overtime, no this, no that. ©2025 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. I want to know who was getting the prescription, like if it was neuromodulators, right, for an RN or an LPN. Please identify who purchased/leased the device, and the date it was initially used to treat patients at your practice. I want to know if this machine is from 2005 or if it's from last month. They are required under statute to have a quality assurance program related to that device.
