We submit that to the registrar who then can put in that interim measure such as a suspension. ©2019 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 8 Sometimes it might be a suspension, sometimes it may be... Excuse me. It may be where they have to have supervised practice. So, for example, if it's an issue with narcotics, then maybe they can't administer narcotics unless they're being supervised. So we do tend to try to put the measures in that are not heavy-handed so that they can still practice, if possible. - Now is that something that the board just submit or that...are you an attorney or a staff member?

Passing standard is related to mission of the organization and exam. For REx-PN, the mission is public protection. When we set the standard, we need to keep the mission in our mind. Standards should be revisited when test specifications, scope of practice, education programs, and/or other factors change. When we change a test plan, we need to reevaluate the standards. Thank you very much. I hope the presentation is helpful to you. We will have a live Q&A coming up shortly. You can enter any questions you might have in the Q&A box, and we will answer them later.

Beginning with a literature review, an item-bank review, functional and strategic job analyzes, and linkage studies, NCSBN research found that many of the attributes and tasks in nursing practice required problem solving, critical thinking, and clinical judgment. And with increasing client age, client acuity, and frequent changes in healthcare settings and regulations, the research made it evident that there was a need for competent clinical judgment skills and decision making for all nurses in order to practice safe effective care.

Now, it didn't take very long for dental regulators across Canada to start asking questions too. And they wanted names. "We couldn't sit back and just let the university do its thing," said one registrar. "Our responsibility is to protect the public interest. We give licenses for people to practice, and we have to make sure that they are suitable to practice. Legislation requires us to make these inquiries." I see some nodding heads here. Now, I don't know what happened to all 13 of those dental students, but I do know that some of them did become licensed dentists.

There's a term for them, but basically they're trying to build up your character, right? Like, why would I do something like this? I'm a pastor at my church. You know, not really answering the question, they're trying to build up their credibility. Now, the other thing is, who here has taken a written statement analysis class? Do you guys use that—written statement analysis, right? And that's a big part, right? That's a big part. When I took the class, they were like, "You can [00:04:00] really use this to prove sexual violence victims are lying to you because we know they all are, right?

Remote states are those Nurse Licensure Compact states where the nurse who holds a multistate license can practice other than the home state. Privilege to practice or PTP is the authority for that multistate license holder to practice in other Nurse Licensure Compact states. Primary state of residence is key when we're talking about multistate licensure. Some of the primary concepts of a multistate license are that a nurse can only hold one multistate license issued by the home state.

Keep in mind that the spreadsheet is a resource only available for the nursing regulatory bodies. The top row of the spreadsheet identifies specific information related to that program, such as state, school name, and exam type. On the bottom of the spreadsheet, there are four separate tabs indicating US PN, US RN, Canadian RN, and ALL INACTIVE program codes - Thanks so much, Jenn. We want to thank everyone for taking the time to learn more about how to better navigate the NCLEX Admin website when processing testing accommodations as well as correcting program codes on a candidate's registration.
