NCSB's mission is to ensure public protection. One of the many ways the organization has achieved this mission includes the development of the NCLEX licensure exam. NCSBN is dedicated to the reliability and validity of its licensure examinations so they are psychometrically sound and legally defensible. This ensures nurses are tested on the same entry level of competencies needed to provide safe nursing care.
