When we looked at where acute care nurse practitioners call home or their practice setting, these data from Kleinpell and colleagues, again, from the "Journal of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners" show, and I found this a bit disturbing, that only 28% of acute care NPs are working in hospitals. Now, acute care, that's our hospital.
