Now, this slide here, we just took this image from the NLC fact sheets that are available online. So this is a summary of the Uniform Licensure Requirements and you can see that it includes meeting the requirements of the home state, graduating from an approved program, passing the NCLEX, doesn't have a felony conviction on agreed disposition, doesn't have a misdemeanor conviction related to the practice of nursing, is not currently participating in an alternative program, etc. And I think, probably, most people are pretty familiar with ULRs.

©2024 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 3 - The nurse has to not do anything to get an NCSBN ID assigned. Why? Because NCSBN ID is assigned automatically to the nurse through the nursing examination process, namely the NCLEX for PN or NCLEX for RN. And also the data that we get from the boards of nursing through that matching process, the ID is automatically assigned to the nurse. Every single nurse who becomes licensed gets an ID assigned. So from that perspective, the nurse doesn't have to do anything.

And then she reapplied, and she used the excuse of hiding from her husband who was abusive and that was her reason for getting her names changed. She actually got a new transcript with her new name on it out of Mesa Community College and University of South Alabama. And we were able to verify that those are legitimate transcripts. But she retook the NCLEX with the falsified names. So under the name of Houston, she actually purchased NCLEX RN and PN review courses, and eventually, we caught up with her. Catch Me If You Can, we caught up with her in the Arizona attorneys general's office. Got her on felony convictions for fraud.
