And how can we make sure that we understand what they are asking for then we can help them to build that solution? Goal-oriented to nursing care. I think the exam preparedness is just a consequence of the knowledge that they learn. I never took… I know that here is exam. I never was prepared to take NCLEX in my education. That was not the point. I didn't do my training in U.S., I did in Brazil. I was trained to take care of patients, and when I took the NCLEX, I actually passed, right? So why should we…? We should rethink some things sometimes. Sometimes the students are so focused on taking NCLEX that they forget to rest.

Even before we were part of the compact, we were requiring these applicants to demonstrate English competency. So if their education is taught in English, they're good to go. If not, they have to pass one of the approved English competency exams. Then they take the NCLEX. They get a background check and they get licensed. - Thank you so much. So those are the same companies that are going out to the countries and recruiting, right? No, it's a different company. Okay. Thank you for that. Thank you. Yes. Do I have to wait for the light to go on?

The Board...and this is always a session that's really interesting because, you know, Phil baffles us with his brilliance around exams, and we do a lot of work and dig deep prior to this agenda item. But it was time to do the...look at the standard setting for the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN. And so as you know from communications that have gone out, that was considered and acted on, and the standards were not changed. We made committee appointments. Thank you to those of you who volunteered for committees. And it is a good problem to have, that many people volunteer, but not everybody can be selected.

We didn't ask the schools of nursing what their objectives were for these programs, but I think that, that would be an excellent follow-up question for a future study, for a follow-up study. And it looks like our second question is from Mark. "For the international students in your study, do you track or ask about the success rate on the NCLEX?" - Hi. That is a great question. And as far as with this study, we did not ask about the NCLEX pass rates, but that is definitely something to be considered in our future studies as well. But that is a great question. - All right. And it looks like we have another question from Carrie.

The NCSBN Education Consultant Network members, during a conference call, strongly agreed that a graduate-prepared faculty was an essential element of a successful nursing program. Further, some Boards have found that when faculty members are prepared with a master’s degree, those programs have significantly higher NCLEX pass rates. The National League for Nursing Accredited Commission (NLNAC) has found that there are significantly better outcomes (one outcome measure includes NCLEX pass rates) when programs are accredited, versus when they are not, most likely related to the higher standards associated with accreditation.
