    Another significant example of this nominee’s substantial contribution to the improvement of nursing regulation is evidenced by implementation of substantial elements of the APRN Consensus Model. In the 2014 legislative session in XXXX state, the nominee led legislative efforts to amend the practice act for nurse practitioners and nurse midwives to include the APRN licensure title. This effort included working with the Board of Medical Examiners to gain support to move forward with this legislative change. The nurse practice act for CRNAs and CNSs was also amended to include the APRN title and to clarify the licensing of CRNAs.

The next update of ORBS will be version 3.0 and will include a number of new features. The following is a brief listing of a few. A licensee will be able to submit a single renewal application for multiple active licenses, such as an RN with an APRN. The Nurse Portal will allow applicants or the nurses to submit payments for non-licensure fees. Current functionality only allows for application fee payment. Questions can be configured at any step in an application. The current version only allows for question confirmation in the eligibility step.
