We implemented it in March last year to the way that we assess internationally qualified nurses and midwives wanting to register in Australia. For all of you, we're now using the NCLEX exam as our knowledge test for internationally qualified nurses that want to come and register here and then we also have a two-step approach. So the second step is an OSCE and obviously because of the pandemic, we've been very limited in the way that we can deliver that OSCE.

    The system allows the boards to now correlate applications for licensure with the approval of Affidavits of Graduation received from the nursing program. Can the board use the Affidavit of Graduation portal to process Out of State applications? No, the Affidavit of Graduation portal was developed to be utilized by in- state NCLEX Nursing programs where there is no need to collect transcript from the school but a validation from the Dean of the nursing program. Boards should follow their current processes for verification of education for out of state programs and collect transcripts etc. as may be required.
