We recently had some legislation passed that allowed APRN's the ability to apply for full independent practice. And in that statute, it's created a committee that reviews and approves all the applications. Well, I'm APRN practice at the Arkansas board, so I kind of filter their applications, ask for the required documents, and all these things. So I'm getting pressure from the applicants about when will my application be reviewed.

In 2002, the Safety Net Amendments really took telehealth off, and this is where the original Medicare reimbursement plan that still largely exists today was created. This also provided for us to get into the license portability by Congress saying, "We believe states should work together to enable cross-state practice of health care and telehealth." So this is really where things started in 2002. And, to be honest, even though our office has been advancing telehealth as fast as we could, not a whole lot had happened, relatively speaking, until 2020, and as you know, everything changed.
