Members of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) come from all 50 U.S. states, Washington DC and 4 U.S. territories. The program fosters outstanding leadership development, the acquisition of advanced knowledge and skills, and the generation of regulatory evidence. Participation is free for NCSBN members, and courses can be taken individually or as part of the credit-based ICRS Certificate Program. Ahead of the times, once again, NCSBN launched an electronic network, NCNET, to deliver a variety of software applications and services to the organization's member boards. NCNET became a powerful vehicle of communication and connection. NCSBN embraced technology in developing its own software and network, so it was no wonder that once the World Wide Web took off, NCSBN was there.
