If you're gonna get a physical therapy compact privilege to practice another jurisdiction, we want to ensure that you don't have any encumbrances against your license. And so we wanted to make sure that every state that was going to join was going to be contributing at that five-star level, right? We're going to get all that data in a timely manner.

The partial credit model scales those points onto the NCLEX ability scale. This enables us to establish item difficulties so that we can administer multi-point items during the computer adaptive exam. And in turn, this allows us to make inferences on examinee abilities so that those who pass the NCLEX exam can practice safe and effective care.
