The APRN Compact was enacted in Utah, making it the third state to have it enacted. The APRN Compact needs to be enacted in seven states to become operational, and there is significant interest from at least five states in pursuing legislation next session . Next Generation NCLEX® (NGN) The method of setting the passing standard on the NCLEX was expanded to work with polytomously scored items and item sets (i.e., clinical judgment case studies) which will be introduced with the changes related to NGN starting in April 2023. A wide range of outreach efforts to inform stakeholders of the research and development work has been provided.
