Florida Mobility Law Update A. Gray (FL) presented an update on the Florida mobility law, particularly regarding the active practice requirement. The Florida legislature included a provision requiring applicants to have worked as a nurse three out of the past four years. After review, the FL board of nursing (BON) determined that under their current exam statutes they can interpret the existing language to leverage prior exam results to meet this requirement; applicants who have passed the required exam can proceed through the exam pathway, and that allows the BON to streamline their application process while remaining compliant with the new legislation.
