    Since its inception in 1998, the Learning Extension has reached more than 134,000 nurses in 120 countries. NCSBN met in Nashville, Tenn., Aug. 5–8, 2008, to consider pertinent association business with its member boards of nursing. Faith A. Fields, NCSBN president and executive director of the Arkansas State Board of Nursing, presided at the meeting. There were 58 member boards of nursing represented by delegates. Highlights of some of the significant actions approved by the member boards of nursing included: Election of new directors to the BOD and members of the Leadership Succession Committee.
