Then, what would the mean score be for this item between 0 to 2 for 100 Patty's? 1, 1.25. Now treat yourself as a judge again. I will show you a multiple response item, and you will give me a rating for each option. This is a multiple-response item from an NGN item set. Please read the scenario and question. Tell me, for the first option, 100 Patty's, how many would select vital signs? For the second option, 100 Patty's, how many would select lung sounds and so on? Again, I don't tell you the answers for the first round.

And I reflect back on something that Phil started this year with the Board is to have the staff rotating in to have lunch with us during Board of Directors meetings. And I ended up in a room with six or seven psychometricians. And they are the guys that are behind that secure door, and we don't see them so often. But they're the brains behind the NGN. And so, great opportunities. And we need to always remember that there are many that make all the activities of NCSBN possible, even if we don't always see them. Staff, you are valued, and a respected and excellent team. Thank you. The NCSBN Board of Directors does not take lightly their fiduciary duties of care, responsibility, and obedience.

So, whereas previously all the intention of the exam is always to select one item after another, now it's going to select that new adaptive case study. So, for instance, these 60 items of the standalone items here today doesn't have any case studies in it, whereas in the NGN, every test is going to have three case studies that are built into the minimum-length exam. So, in a sense, you're going to get 52 items that are standalone items in the minimum length exam, plus 3 case studies. And since the case studies are 6 items themselves, that's 18.
