    I would like to begin by talking about standard setting from a validity perspective for NCLEX. What I mean by that is, what is the claim that we can make about a candidate based on the candidate's NCLEX results? Well, the NCLEX result is a pass-fail decision, supporting the claim as to whether the candidate has the minimum professional knowledge, skills, and abilities required to practice competently as an entry-level nurse.
