Okay. While we're waiting on the next question, I wanted to add to Kathleen's response to the interprofessional experiences. I know that there are some universities that do clinical experiences not only with the med school, but also with pharmacists, social workers. And so they team up as part of the initiative per that university and they go with one of the...each school has their faculty join on the trip as well. But it's a collaborative effort and a lot of meetings, you know, with the other disciplines.

For the purposes of the NCLEX, a client is defined as the individual, family, or group, which includes significant others and population. Nursing is both an art and a science, founded on a professional body of knowledge that integrates concepts from the liberal arts and the biological, physical, psychological and social sciences. It is a learned profession based on knowledge of the human condition across the life span and the relationships of an individual with others and within the environment. Nursing is a dynamic, continuously evolving discipline that employs critical thinking and clinical judgment to integrate increasingly complex knowledge, skills, technologies and client care activities into evidence-based nursing practice.

As above, under the Collaborator Role, it is important to create a balanced faculty that will provide depth to student learning experiences. Benner et al., (2007), in their study of nursing education, found that nursing curricula are weak in the areas of psycho-social coursework, humanities, and education experiences that enable students to work with diverse populations. Further, Wolf, Dunbar-Jacobs, and Greenhouse (2006) make a case for practice/education collaborative models and support the findings of Benner et al., (2007) regarding the importance of contextual learning in nursing education.

Oh, and by the way, they had an LVN license at one point, and between these three license types, they've got them in like 12 different states or 12 different jurisdictions. Do they have 35 NCSBN IDs? Well, no, they actually just have the one. And so, what is it doing? It's unifying, essentially, it's connecting all their different licenses. So, that's pretty powerful. You could say, "Well, what about social security number?" But this crowd knows, social security numbers are not fun to share. They're not fun to share. They're not even fun to store. But this is a public unique nurse identifier that essentially functions like a social security number would, but without any of the privacy implications. ©2024 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc.

Another reason for us to deal with systemic and structural racism is because both of these factors are inextricably linked to health disparities. And so this is a Kaiser Foundation Framework. And you can see the ways in which health disparities are driven by social and economic inequities. And all of these factors, all of these social and economic factors, whether it be neighborhood, education, food, community, and healthcare system, yes, there are structural factors, but racism and discrimination is the thread that is linked across all of them and leads to disparities and inequities in employment, in food and security, in social integration.

Is subject to self-disclosure requirements regarding current participation in an alternative program; and Key Points and Considerations: • All applications must include a self-disclosure question asking, “Are you a current participant in an ATD program in any state?” • Participation in an ATD program is a disqualifier to an MSL. Article III (c): 11. Has a valid United States Social Security number. Key Points and Considerations: • Infrequently, an applicant may present with an SSN card which indicates that the SSN number is “valid for work authorization purposes only.” • The NLC does not address such alternate forms of SSNs. • Whether or not you accept such an SSN card with an MSL application is at the discretion of the BON.
