I thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the APRN Compact from Kathy Thomas of the Texas Board of Nursing. I was able to share this information with the Rhode Island Advanced Practice Nurse Advisory Committee upon my return. I also learned a great deal during the “Strategic Use of Media” presentation by Patricia Clark. The networking reception that evening was a fabulous way to connect with other NCSBN members and listen to beautiful music. It was very interesting to receive the Institute of Medicine Future of Nursing Report from Sue Hassmiller of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

That's how they were able to have non-licensed or non-credentialed people passing medications in these assisted living homes.
