What is a typical day like in the office of the NJBON? There really isn’t a typical day as an executive director of a BON. Generally, my day encompasses meetings, telephone conferences, answering emails, troubleshooting with staff, professional practice questions and staff mentoring. In the past, the NJ BON had a lot more professional staff. Over the years, as the RN professional staff left and weren’t replaced, the expectation remained for the staff to be knowledgeable, think critically and use good judgment.
