    These were among the age groups that were most supportive of the Vermont Board of Nursing joining the NLC. For reference, here are the NLC supporters by age in Vermont. Next slide, please. Survey results also showed that some respondents expressed their concerns that unsafe nurses might come to practice in Vermont, lowering the quality of care. The enhanced NLC, in fact, includes criminal background checks and additional standardized licensure requirements that should have adequately addressed concerns on quality care. However, analysis of survey results demonstrated that not all nurses are fully aware of the enhanced compact and licensure requirements.
