However, during the pandemic, many boards of nursing in the United States recommended the need to provide guidance and issue emergency orders in order to allow nursing programs' flexibility in the use of simulation. The aim of this study was to examine the degree to which pre-licensure RN nursing programs plan to substitute their clinical instruction with simulation in the context of this guidance. So, to accomplish this aim, we worked in two phases, the first of which involved collecting pre-pandemic and pandemic regulation or guidance information as it related to simulation.

Starting from this slide, I'm going to show you how the computer decides whether you should pass the NCLEX exam. ©2022 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 4 In the NCLEX exam, we only report the pass-fail classification because we want to make sure if you're minimally competent to practice. You have five hours to take the exam, and then you have to respond to at least 60 operational items. Once you have answered 60 operational items, your ability estimate is compared to the passing standard. The computer has three different rules to terminate the exam and to make the pass-fail decision.
