    My specialty is in pediatric cardiology and cardiac critical care and cardiac surgery. I worked at a children's hospital here in Chicago for about 15 years. For the past four years, I have been a test developer here at NCSBN, and prior to NCSBN, I was at Pearson VUE.     So we were able to consolidate Objectives 7 and 8 into a single objective, and because of the work we're doing on the next-generation NCLEX, we decided that in terms of continuing competence we should wait until that is launched before re-engaing with that ©2021 National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. All rights reserved. 6 project because we do believe that NGN will provide new solutions to the way that we look at continuing competence. That did create some space and we all know from the experiences of the last 12 months that the issue of remote proctoring is very much live and very much at the forefront of many people's thinking.
