These analyses are conducted on a three-year cycle, and NCSBN uses a rigorous methodology to evaluate practice.

METHODS: A secondary analysis of data collected in a study of transition to practice was used to de- scribe the retention of 1464 NLRNs employed by 97 hospitals in 3 states. Hospitals varied in size, location (urban and rural), MagnetA designation, and university affiliation.

So, according to the practice analysis data analyzed over several years, this is kind of a snapshot of who a new nurse is as an RN. One of the things that we'll highlight here is at the end is that there is an increase in formal orientation internships, which is actually very promising in terms of creating that support.
