    So I mentioned that there are a few really now increasingly well-understood major risk factors for substance use disorders. And I wanted to make special note of, in particular, the association between post-traumatic stress disorder and opioid use disorder. Twin studies have found that opioid use disorder and sedative use disorder, so benzodiazepines, some of the medications that I mentioned nurses are often at risk for overdosing from, in the setting of a suicide attempt, but that opioid use disorder and sedative use disorders are over two and a half times more likely to occur with PTSD compared to other substance use disorders.
